Right in the center of Gun Barrel City, TX, CR Legacy Event Center is a place where memories are made. The facility is designed to host everything from family reunions and weddings to corporate events and community fundraisers. Easy to find on Main Street, its central location adds to the convenience. Originally a drive-thru liquor store and later a hardware store, Saucedo purchased the building in 2012 and transformed it with a significant expansion in 2016. He states,  “We’re a small business serving other businesses,” and that spirit is evident in every aspect of the center.

CR Legacy Event Center stands out through a unique blend of modern elegance, small-town charm and the fact there is nothing quite like it within an 80-mile radius. Inside the 10,000-square-foot venue, guests are welcomed by warm lighting from chandeliers, tasteful colors, and a clean, stylish atmosphere. Saucedo credits his wife’s vision, talent and innovativeness for much of it. 

Personal touch for every event

One of the center’s strongest features is its flexibility. Whether you’re working with a decorator, planner, or the Saucedo team, CR Legacy offers options to appeal to every customer, with a budget-friendly appeal compared to a typical event center. The owners meet with customers prior to events to discuss price options for sound systems, engineering, and numerous other options. 

Amenities to be tailored for every event include free Wi-Fi, a changing room with a large mirror, a kitchen with steam table, movable bar, tables, chairs, different color linens with matching table runners, fine glassware, and LED lights.  “We’re not going to charge you extra for specifics you feel strongly about,” says Saucedo. 

Maximum capacity is 700 people, but a layout with a dance floor will still seat 400 people comfortably. With a workforce of four and 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, the owners also offer a range of catering choices, from hearty steaks to Tex-Mex and Italian dishes.
